In this article, you will find information on how to install and use the Lead Articles 1 Slideshow Widget, as well as the Top Article Rotation Widget.

To utilize and take advantage of either one of these widgets, simply go into your admin area, and under the SITE DESIGN tab, select “Manage Site Pages”. Inside the manage site pages menu, click the “Update” button to the right of the page you wish to place your widget on. Once you are inside the page, you can simply click inside the diagram where you would like the widget to be placed; (clicking a widget that’s already placed, or clicking on the title of a column or area (Right, Middle Column, etc) is a great way to gauge where your widget will be placed.) Once you have selected an area for your widget to appear, click the “Insert New” button to the right to open your widget selection screen. Select “Article Widgets” from the left-most box, “Top List Widgets” from the middle box, and either “Lead Articles 1 Slideshow Widget” or “Top Article Rotation Widget” from the right-most box. Save your page, and you are done.

If you chose the “Lead Articles 1 Slideshow Player Widget” as your widget of choice, you’re completely finished with the adding process. If you’ve chosen the “Top Article Rotation Widget”, then you will need to take care of one extra step. In your admin area, refresh your page, and then go to your NEWS tab. You will see that inside the NEWS tab, there is an extra option that wasn’t there before called “Manage Top Rotation List” – select this option; this is where you will manually select the articles that will rotate within the Top Article Rotation Widget. Click the “Add” button. Once inside the “Add Rotation” page, leave the type as “Article”, and select the “Article” drop-down box to select your article. You can change the rank of this article in relation to other articles that you will place into this widget. Changing the article rank will change the order in which they are displayed. Click the “Add Top Rotation” button, and you’re finished! Click the “Apply Changes” link at the top of your page, go to the page you placed the widget on, and see your addition.
