A mild 2.4M earthquake shook Hawaii 4 km west, southwest of Volcano, on Dec. 5, 2017, at 9:40 a.m. ET. The epicenter of the quake was 1.4 km.
No one has reported feeling it shake. There have been 91 other mild earthquakes in the area since Nov. 11. The magnitudes range from 1.1 to 3.2. The depths have also remained shallow.
The exact location of the 2.4M quake was 19.411ºN and 155.272ºW. The location is 33.2 km from Hawaiian Paradise Park, 40.1 km from Hilo, and 342 km from Honolulu, Hawaii.
There are no warnings for the 2.4M, 1.4 km depth earthquake.
